Tourists Can Widen Their Travels from Phuket?

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing travelers to Phuket more specifically what is being referred to as the Phuket Sandbox. Especially in the last roughly 6 or 8 weeks, folks that got down there ended up boxed in; basically it was kind of difficult to leave that area even if they had done their 14 days. But things appear to be changing, the worm is turning as they say.

In a recent article from the Bangkok Post, that is bangkokpost.com, the article is titled: Phuket Sandbox Travelers can fly out starting next month. Quoting directly: "Domestic flights catering to Phuket Sandbox Travelers will be allowed at Suvarnabhumi Airport and Don Mueang Airports starting next month, says a source of Transport Ministry." We are also seeing other reports in other aspects of the media talking about the so called 7+7 plan. This basically is the scheme whereby one can go in to Phuket, you do your first 7 days in Phuket and then you can go to other areas like Krabi. They were talking initially about Samui although that was suspended. Apparently that is coming back online so you can widen out; you are not just "stuck" if you will in Phuket.

Now exactly how this is going to work out remains to be seen and we are keeping our finger on the pulse of this with respect to exactly how the logistics works of getting in and getting out and then getting into greater Thailand after one has done their time in these “Sandbox” areas. Further talk has been coming up about possibly Pattaya being allowed to for lack of a better word open up or be allowed to participate in this. Maybe we will see Pattaya as part of the 7+7 scheme sooner rather than later. For now all of that is something of speculation but we will keep you updated on this channel as the situation progresses.
