Schengen Area Access For Thai Passport Holders?

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing Schengen area access possibly for Thai passport holders. As we have discussed in other videos, the new Prime Minister here in Thailand, since the new Government came into power back in roughly around about August going into September of 2023, one of the main pillars that he sort of campaigned on and came into the office on and seemingly something that seems to be a priority within this new Government is "strengthening" if you will the Thai passport; providing more strength insofar as Visa free options to Thai passport holders and the Schengen area seems to be a place where he is acutely basically focusing his attention.

I thought of making this video after reading a recent article in the Pattaya Mail, that is pattayamail.com, the article is titled: The Thai dream to have Visa-exempt travel to Europe is a likely scenario. Quoting directly: "Thai Premier Srettha Thavisin's determination for Thais to visit Schengen countries without Visa approval has woken up sleepy diplomats. On a recent visit to French President Emmanuel Macron, Srettha was promised full support for the idea following the 2024 European Parliament elections. On a subsequent meeting in Berlin with the German President, visa-free travel for Thais was noted as a possibility worthy of further discussion.” Yeah this is a pretty big deal if this comes to pass and we actually see Thai passport holders be able to gain Visa-free access to the Schengen area in Europe that would be a big boon to the Thai passport itself; it would add a great deal of "clout" as the kids call it now with regard to the Thai passport itself.

I am really kind of eager to see this play out. I think this is a really laudable endeavour being undertaken by the Prime Minister. I am hoping it plays out as positively as possible and we will certainly keep people updated on this channel as that situation evolves.
