90 Days On Arrival in Thailand For US, EU, UK, & AUS Passport Holders?

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing 90 days on arrival for US, EU, UK, Australian passports, sort of the Western passport categories. I thought of making this video after reading a recent article from the Pattaya Mail, that is pattayamail.com, the article is titled: Visa Exemptions in Thailand don't result in a tourist boom. Quoting directly: "Also on the stocks is a half-promise (but not formally announced) that some European countries such as the UK and Germany might see an improvement on the 30 days Visa exempt they currently receive to 90 days or three months. The idea is that they would stay longer to enjoy themselves if only the visa rules were softer. Actually, there are around 60 countries potentially able to benefit including the UK, the EU, the United States, Australia and some traditional sources of tourism in the Middle East."

Yeah, there is serious talk about going over to a 90-day Visa Exemption-on-arrival. So instead of for example on a US passport, you come into Thailand and get 30 days just stamped in at the airport, changing that into a situation where one would obtain 90 days just by being stamped in at the airport. Presumably this will probably only operate through high season as we are seeing with for example the scheme to elongate Chinese stay and then again India, Russia has been allowed again this sort of lax, more relaxed set of visa rules at least presumably through the high season. So it is our understanding that this is said to sunset in roughly March of 2024 but again, it remains to be seen. And if it is highly beneficial to the country to see this kind of influx of tourism, presumably we may see an extension of the program.

That said, it remains to be seen and we will certainly keep you updated on this situation as it evolves.
