"150,000 Travelers A Day" Coming Into Thailand?

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing 150,000 travellers a day coming into Thailand. So the reason, I will get to a citation here in a moment but I think there is good reason to make this video mostly because I don't think tourists truly understand just how much high season sort of changes the overall complexion of Thailand. It very much changes how things are going here, oftentimes for the better, but it also it just is what it is. 150,000 people coming in a day which it may or may not hit that level, but if that is true that that many people are coming in it wouldn't surprise me, and quite honestly high season just it's a wild ride over here quite honestly.

I thought of making this video after reading a recent article from the Bangkok Post bangkokpost.com, the article is titled: Immigration Police prepare for holiday rush at airports. Quoting directly: "Pol Maj Gen Choengron Rimpadee, Commander of Immigration Officers at the International Airport, said on Sunday the number of passengers on international flights is likely to rise with a rise, of 30,000 to 150,000 travellers a day at Suvarnabhumi Airport it alone, partly due to the government's Visa free scheme."

So as discussed, in other videos, Thailand has really, going into this high season and to the credit of this new Government and everything, they have said look, we are just going to pull visa requirements; we are going to allow folks to just come in on basically what we call a Visa Exemption stamps. Depending on the nationality, folks may be able to get in for 30, 90, 15 days, but the thing to remember, no need for a Visa before arrival. It is basically you just get on a plane with most passports, at least throughout this coming high season 2023/2024, most passport holders are going to be able to get on a plane and just travel on into Thailand and be able to enjoy themselves as tourists with no need to mess around with any kind of Visa coming into the country and it's anticipated that this will result in a larger number of people actually coming into Thailand. Now whether or not that actually occurs remains to be seen, but we will certainly keep you updated on this channel as the situation evolves.
