Sort of out there in the ether of the internet, I have talked to some folks over the past oh I don't know, a couple of weeks and especially in the West there seems to be this misconception that foreign, I'll keep it specific to Thailand but this could really operate for a lot of different countries down here in Southeast Asia and even up in Northeast Asia, this notion of a "Green Card gold digger" kind of thing. I am just calling it that because there is this notion that all foreign women, in this case Thai, I'm going to speak specifically to Thai on this one, that Thai women are all just trying to get a Green Card and get back to the United States with a man. Not really. Most Thais don't really want to leave Thailand in my experience; most Thais really just kind of want to stay here and in fact most of the couples that I have dealt with over the years when I have assisted in processing Green Cards and Fiancé Visas most of those folks, the Thai woman is kind of reluctant. I mean she is doing it because she loves her husband or her fiancé and they have got a relationship that they want to maintain, they want to be around each other. Oftentimes and it's usually a man but not always, but oftentimes the man in the relationship, he works in the United States so he needs to return and he wants his fiancé or spouse to be there with him. It has just not really been my experience, I am not saying it's not possible, I have seen it. There are women out there and men who are looking to make a love connection so to speak just to get a Green Card but it has been my experience that is not the vast majority of folks because if you think about it, uprooting oneself, going to an entirely different culture, having to deal with possibly an entirely different language that you may not speak fluently, that is a daunting endeavour at the best of times and doing it dependent, oftentimes solely on another person, that's even more daunting, most people do not take that lightly. 

So again, this notion of sort of these Green Card Gold diggers; women that are just trying to marry an American man to get a Green Card, it is really, I would argue probably 85, 90% of the time it is a real misconception.
