As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing updates regarding Border Runs to Laos from Thailand. I got to think of making this video after reading a recent article in the Nation that is nationthailand.com, the article is titled: Thailand to start running buses to 10 Lao destinations from June 15. Quoting directly: "The state-operated Transport Co. Ltd. will have buses running on 10 routes from Thailand to Laos from June 15. Sanyalux Panwattanalikit, Transport Co president, said nine more routes will be added to the first Mukdahan-Savannakhet route opened on May 9. The nine new routes are: 

• Nong Khai-Vientiane, 
• Udon Thani-Vientiane
• Ubon Ratchathani-Pakse
• Khon Kaen-Vientiane
• Bangkok-Vientiane
• Nakhon Phanom-Thaikhek
• Udon Thani-Udon Thaini International Airport-Nong Kha-Vang Vieng
• Chiang Rai-Bokeo
• Loei-Luang Prabang

So these routes are scheduled to be open from June 15th. That's interesting news because we have definitely seen that Border Runs have just been gone for 2 years. Especially Cambodia to Thailand and Laos to Thailand; that was a huge border run. I mean prior to COVID I would wonder how many people used those Border Run routes on a daily basis. I mean it would probably be in the hundreds, possibly in the thousands. I mean Visa runners went up to Laos quite a little bit. We made videos on it talking about Savannakhet versus Vientiane and processing Visas up in both of those places, as well as over in Cambodia doing Visa runs over to Poi Phet. 

Interesting, it looks like border running is coming full fully back online. It's coming back online kind of with a vengeance insofar as we are seeing a lot of these routes reopening. So interesting to see. We will definitely keep you updated on this channel as this situation evolves.
