I am sure the title of this video seems a little odd to regular viewers but I thought it was worth making a video quite frankly because I think that these kind of excursions are very good for the country and hopefully we will see more of them. So I thought of making this video after reading a recent article from the Thai Examiner, that is thaiexaminer.com, the article is titled: USTV late l-night star Conan O'Brien to feature Bangkok in HBO travel show in possible tourism boost. Quoting directly: "Former US late night talk show host Conan O'Brien is getting ready to release a show on Bangkok which is due to air on HBO max, the popular us-based streaming TV service in the coming year as part of his 'Conan Without Borders' series. The news of the pending broadcast comes with Thailand, on Saturday announcing 9.47 million visitors up to the middle of May this year with many incoming visitors arriving from Malaysia and India amid growing concern about the country's continued appeal to Western markets from where visitors spend longer periods in the Kingdom and spend more."

One thing I would say is, yeah it is always a concern. Tourism something we should be concerned about here in Thailand; it helps the economy, it's overall a very good thing. Westerners are going to continue to be fascinated by Thailand I suspect. It's a great country, it's a beautiful country, the beaches are great; it has an unparalleled and unique culture that I certainly fell in love with and I think many folks really love. It is really cool to see Conan O'Brien here, I have got to say. It is one of the reasons for the video is because I remember watching, to me I was always kind of a Letterman but I was a kid when I watched Letterman and Letterman was fun. Conan though was kind of like for Gen X, he was kind of the Johnny Carson for Generation X.  I have been told I am Generation X although everybody tells me I am also a millennial. I don't know what I am, I am born in the early eighties; I am on the cusp if you will of whatever it is. But I just more remember Conan in the late night scene as being kind of the, again he was kind of Johnny Carson for Generation X when he was doing his regular show. I think it's really cool, he's got this kind of travel show going and I think it is really great he is coming to Thailand and I just wanted to sort of say thanks. “Thanks Conan for thinking about us out here in Thailand, for coming out here to Thailand. It looks like you have had from the couple of clips I have seen on YouTube and things, it looks like you have had an interesting time. It is going to be fun watching your entry in your program about your experience here in Thailand”. Hopefully this will encourage others, it will encourage other folks, celebrities etc. to maybe think about Thailand if they are travelling around the world.
