As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing the Royal Thai Consulate in Xiamen in China. So, we make these videos for folks who are looking to come to Thailand and get a visa to travel to Thailand. It should be noted that different posts are going to process things slightly differently. What may work one way at one Consulate even within the same country, so even within China, what may work at one Consulate may not work the same way at another Consulate. Different Consulates, different Officers have a specific way in which they like to see the visa application presented to them and that may vary post to post. 

The other thing to bear in mind with respect to Thai visas is different posts may have Consular jurisdiction to issue different categories of visas or they may lack Consular jurisdiction to issue different categories of visas. Most of the time, an Embassy can issue all the Visas that one can get to Thailand but a Consulate may lack authority to issue all the different categories. At the same time, different Consulates may have different prerogatives with respect to duration of Visa sticker validity and for this reason this may differ from post to post.
