Thai "Global Wealthy Citizen" Visas?

Transcript of the above video:

I have had a lot of questions coming from folks about the so-called Long-Term Residency Visas, Long Term Residence Visas. This Global Wealthy Citizen category is one of the subcategories with respect to this overall Visa. Some of the requirements that we have seen rolled out thus far and bear in mind, this has not been fully rolled out in a specific way yet. It hasn't actually been promulgated at all yet, it hasn't actually come to fruition so we are looking to get more information on the practicalities of this as we start to see things unfold beginning in September I suspect, although probably we won't see things in earnest until October.

Some things we do know, apparently "Global Wealthy Citizens" they have got to have asset values; it has got to be like a million dollars, net asset values of a million. Then again proving that up as we have discussed before, Certification on that is kind of a difficult thing. Insurance coverage is required under this Global Wealthy Citizen Visa of not less than US$50,000 in coverage; there are some requirements with respect to for example it seems that there needs to be a certain bank balance kept on file for at least 12 months prior to the application. Again, how exactly that shakes out kind of remains to be seen.

But the thing to take away from this video is yeah, it looks like it's going to be out there. Again it is a long-term visa option, it is as long as 10 years but it does have a pretty substantial financial requirement associated with it. I suspect there are going to be issues associated with certification of meeting those requirements with respect to documentation. Exactly how this plays out remains to be seen. We will keep you updated on this channel as the situation evolves.
