Suggestions for Thai Immigration?

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, it may be a little confusing but Suggestions for Thai Immigration. I am not going to do this video to make suggestions to Thai Immigration, what I am talking about in this video, I get a lot of correspondence from people weekly; we get a lot of correspondence coming through here. Our information desk deals with a ton of folks, I deal with a ton of clients and things, friends, acquaintances, folks from all over the place. From time to time I don't really read a ton of the comments in the videos particularly, but I kind of have an idea of what is going on. The folks that help me run the channel mostly are kind of keeping tabs on that but I got to thinking of something the other day because about three times a week I get emails from folks, who have got suggestions for Thai Immigration. They think that certain things could be done better or a different way or more efficiently. Oftentimes I will read through some of it and once it is clear that they are not really looking for any real legal assistance, they are just kind of making comments, sometimes I will read all the way through it, sometimes if time is a factor, I may just kind of keep going.

The thing that I don't really think people understand about Immigration systems, especially folks it seems to be a lot of the Retirees and I am not pointing you guys out, that is not the point of the video, but a lot of the Retirees, and this is just a phenomenon, if you have never dealt with an Immigration System, you really don't know what it's like to deal with an Immigration System. So if you have lived your whole life in your home country or a country where you have nationality, you just never have to deal with that country's Immigration and Customs System and then you move abroad and you have to deal with it, it is probably going to be a bit of a culture shock. It's going to be a bit like throwing cold water on somebody because Immigration Systems are not designed to be efficient; they are not designed to do what you want it to do. If anything it is kind of designed in opposite to that. It is almost designed to be difficult to deal with for foreigners. It is designed to be cumbersome sometimes because it is designed to be something of an obstacle course because there is protectionism and nationalism issues, nationality issues that come into play and Immigration Systems just are what they are.

So while I am happy to receive correspondence and I am happy to read it, I am just saying this sort of generally out there to folks who do write stuff up and sometimes folks write really thoughtful essentially suggestions for Thai Immigration, or commentary on what Thai Immigration is doing but the long and the short of it is I am not going to say they just don't care, but it is just that isn't their priority. They have their way of running things, they are going to run it that way and that's just how it is. So again, while I really appreciate the correspondence and things, I am doing this video mostly to speak to you folks because I don't generally write back correspondence sort of breaking all of that out because honestly I really I am very pressed for time some days and also, nothing is going to come of it. Whatever even I decide would be a great idea, even if I ran down there and said "hey look at this" they would say “yeah great, we're just going to keep doing what we are doing”. So understand, that is just the nature of the beast.
