So No Mo' "Test & Go"?

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing "Test and Go". For those who are unaware, we saw "Test and Go" get suspended back in the third week of December, right as we were closing out the year. That was definitely a big downer and I made videos on that. I really think the ramifications on that are going to be substantial moving forward.

Leaving that aside, a recent article from ASEAN NOW, aseannow.com, the article is titled: Thailand's Minister of Public Health Officially Proposes to COVID-Center to Postpone Resuming "Test and Go" until at least the end of January. Quoting directly: "Anutin Charnvirakul, Minister of Public Health and Deputy Prime Minister, confirmed this morning to the Thai Press January 3rd, 2022 that he has proposed on behalf of the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) to delay any resumption of the "Test and Go" program until at least (at least) the end of January, scheduled for a review by the Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration or CCSA tomorrow, January 4th." So this video may be released after the fact. Quoting further: "TPN notes this is only a proposal at this point and not a guarantee but is likely to happen based on concerns from the Department of Disease Control and the MOPH." So we are making this video presuming this is probably going to go through although it may not be a foregone conclusion. I hope maybe we don't end up using this video because it is not pertinent. If it does go up then obviously it is pertinent and here we are. So it is delayed until at least the end of January and then we are going to see where we go from there.

I think I have made my position pretty clear in a lot of other videos. I really think that this is probably the wrong way to be looking at this. I think we were moving forward. Yes I think the situation isn't absolutely perfect but we are just going to have to learn to live with this thing the way that this is and failure to do so I think is going to have tremendous negative long-term economic consequences for the country, the Tourism Industry, the economy; it just saddens me deeply. I love Thailand, truly. I have made my home here; this is my adoptive homeland; it is a great place to live and be from, but I just think that maybe people's fear has gotten the better of them and we are just in kind of a feedback loop that we can't get out of. I hope we do sooner rather than later but however it goes we will certainly keep you updated on this channel as the situation evolves.
