Sealed Airport Terminals in Thailand?

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing the notion of sealed Airport terminals in Thailand. In a recent article from the Bangkok Post, bangkokpost.com, the article is titled: Samui Prepares No Quarantine Plan. The byline is: Sandbox Scheme to speed up reopening of the island before the rest of the country. There is lot in this article. They go on to talk about how it looks like Samui, because they have an airport and they are an island, they are going to be able to start fast tracking getting folks in there and getting tourists in there with perhaps not the level of quarantine that other places are going to have to endure.

I thought that this was particularly interesting, this one little excerpt out of this and I urge folks to go read this article again, that is bangkokpost.com but quoting directly: "In addition, the Government has to allow commercial flights to transit in Bangkok at a sealed terminal before flying to Samui." I am kind of curious if this is going to be a detail that might be pertinent to a lot of what we are calling “area quarantine” or is being dubbed “area quarantine” wherein they are designating areas where there is going to be some more liberality if you will with respect to foreign is coming in, especially those who have been vaccinated, they will have a little bit more liberty to for lack of a better term, to wander about compared to other areas of Thailand. Samui seems to be being singled out because again they are an island so it can be controlled, for lack of a better term, in that location and we are curious to see how this plays out.

We will certainly update you on this channel as the situation evolves but for now it appears that in these area quarantine situations, folks coming through for example Suvarnabhumi, it is not going to be like before. It will probably be a situation where those type of tourists will probably be off in their own, sort of corralled off in their own area for lack of a better term in order to move them on to the location where they will be spending their "area quarantine" here in Thailand.
