As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing Thai one year Business Visa extensions and the one month review associated therewith. It seems like about this time of year everybody's always saying, "Why do we have to do this one year review?" What are we talking about here first of all?

Generally speaking, when you go in and apply for a B Visa extension, you have to file the application which in and of itself is a daunting task; the documentation information that is contained in there is like the size of a phone book. And then on top of that you got to deal with certain photos and things which have to be presented to Immigration Officers and Inspectors. Then the case is filed, it's put under review for 30 days and that review yeah an inspection unit generally will review the case file; they may actually show up at your place of work; they may contact various people that work with you; they may want to contact you and then after the 30-day period you can go ahead and get your 11-month extension on top of that which gives you the one year. So yeah, there is this kind of 30 day limbo every year associated with filing and applying for a Business Visa, maintaining a Business Visa extension. Now again, if you have to travel to do business travel which is starting to become a thing now that we are kind of coming out of this stuff, yeah that can be kind of an issue. Generally speaking, you are going to need to deal with having a re-entry permit in order to maintain your status so as to be back in time to go ahead and get the rest of the Visa issued but yeah there is a 30-day review associated with Business Visa extensions here in the Kingdom of Thailand.
