As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing options for Retirees in Thailand and fortunately for retirees, there are a number of options actually. Notwithstanding the fact that they are still talking about these Long-Term Residence Visas which is kind of a misnomer because it is not a residency permit, but these long-term 10-year visas etc. there are a number of options currently out there.

For example the O-A Retirement Visa is perfectly acceptable if you are over 50 and meet the financial requirements; the O Retirement Visa is also possible if you meet the financial requirements and you are over 50. Thailand Elite is still a viable possibility for a number of foreign nationals; if you are married to a Thai, if you want to retire here, that is also a viable option. Notwithstanding the fact we have yet to see the promulgation of any regulations associated with the Long-Term Resident Visa it stands to reason that there are other options. I mean retirees don't need, if you are waiting with bated breath for that specific program to come online, I would urge you not to do that. There is probably a really good option out there for your specific situation right now. You don't need to wait. So just something to keep it in mind, there are a lot of options for those who wish to retire here in the Kingdom of Thailand.
