As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing the "legwork" of Thai Business Visas and Work Permits. The reason for the video is I find it interesting, we will often get clients who will assist in incorporation of a Company maybe even deal with Amity Treaty Certification under the US-Thai Treaty of Amity or a standard company, maybe deal with BOI, but at some point, if it's a foreigner running it and they are working in Thailand they are going to have to go through the fun gauntlet that is Business Visa and Work Permit issuance. 

The reason for the video is there are a lot of misnomers about this. Folks that have never done it before really do not understand, there's a ton of legwork that goes into a standard Business Visa and Work Permit application because there are all kinds of prerequisite documentation not least of which, especially for the self-employed, is going to be corporate documentation, tax documentation, documentation associated with one's tax ID Number. Again there is just a myriad of documents, I mean these things are like that thick! When you file them, they are literally like that thick with paperwork. Now again, some of it is multiple documents that you are kind of almost signing redundantly but there are a number of documents in there that they want to see. Things like VAT documentation, things like Social Security documentation; there is a ton of stuff that goes into all of that and on top of that there is a ton of work that goes into getting that prerequisite documentation. 

So the thing to take away from this video is to understand it's not just a matter of just filling out an application form for a Business Visa or filling out an application for a Work Permit, you are coming in and petitioning based on a substantial set of documents for both work authorization and lawful Business Visa status here in the Kingdom of Thailand.
