Job Description And Work Permits In Thailand

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing job description in the context of Work Permits here in the Kingdom of Thailand.

Work Permits in Thailand, for those who are unaware, foreign nationals are restricted from working in Thailand unless they receive a Work Permit. Once a Work Permit is issued, you are allowed to work in Thailand, generally speaking within the scope of work that your job description would imply.

Now as we have discussed in other videos, they have become far less sticklerish about job description in terms of showing up and doing spot checks to ascertain whether or not whatever activity you are doing is in line with your Work Permit. But long story short, job description is still important because again as we have discussed in other videos, there are things like restricted occupations here in Thailand that Thai Government Officers are going to be very concerned about when they are adjudicating whether or not a Work Permit should be issued. One's job description will have an impact on whether or not a Work Permit will be issued.

So again it as an important component to the Work Permit application is ascertaining what precisely one should put down as their job description here in the Kingdom of Thailand.
