How Many British Nationals Have Come to Thailand Since COVID-19?

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing British Nationals and entry to Thailand since the beginning of this response to COVID-19.

A recent article I found very insightful, it was from thaivisa.com. The article is titled: Plans to Open Thailand Further to Tourism - 40,000 Foreign Returnees Have Arrived Since July. That is thaivisa.com. I urge you to check that out because we are just going to take a little tiny snippet out of this for this video. Quoting directly: "Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Thanee Saengrat said that from July 9 to 24th of November the Ministry had issued Certificates of Entry to 40,401 foreigners." Of that, they go on to note that 2,640 British Nationals have been admitted in that time frame, and again that time frame July 9 to the 24th November.

I am bringing this up because I think it is good to note, I have noticed people online getting a bit despondent about the prospects of being able to come into Thailand. Yes it is possible and foreign nationals have been coming to Thailand. It is a much more cumbersome visa process than it once was; definitely more complexity and it can be a little bit Byzantine at times as we have gone through in other videos on this channel. But yes, British Nationals can come to Thailand and since the summer, 2,640 of them have according to this article.

For those who are looking to come to Thailand who feel a bit overwhelmed about the overall process, it may be a good idea to go ahead and contact a legal professional in order to gain some insight and guidance into how best to proceed in making all requisite arrangements to get a visa, a Certificate of Entry and ultimately travel and be lawfully admitted to the Kingdom of Thailand.
