"Free Visa Plan" In Thailand?

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are asking the question, "is there a free Visa plan coming online in Thailand?" I thought of making this video after reading a recent article from the Bangkok Post, that is bangkokpost.com, the article is titled: Free visa plan to add 700,000 Chinese guests.  I urge those who are watching this video, go check out that article in detail for more information, a lot of information in there. I am going to quote a small excerpt. Quoting directly: "The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) estimates the Government's plan to issue free visas to tourists from China will add 700,000 arrivals during the high season." So yeah, as we have discussed in a number of other videos, it seems attracting Chinese tourists for this forthcoming high season, attracting those tourists to Thailand seems to be a major priority of Tourism Authorities here in the Kingdom. Now whether or not this is going to ultimately prove to be successful remains to be seen.

As we have noted in other videos, this is not the only initiative being undertaken by Tourism Authorities especially in the incoming Government here in Thailand as that Government seems quite keen to basically improve the tourism sector here in Thailand. So on top of that there's encouragement of tourism from the global South most notably India. As we have also discussed there has been some serious discussion regarding the possibility of changing 30-day Thai Visa Exemption stamps and extending them to 90 days upon arrival; the incoming Government seems to be looking very hard at that option.

Now exactly what if any of these changes will actually come about, that kind of remains to be seen. We will certainly keep you updated on this channel as the situation evolves.
