"Expedited" Thai Retirement Visa Processing?

Transcript of the above video:

A question on the lips of some here recently has been, "Is there an expedited process of getting a Thai Retirement Visa?" My response is "Well what process are you going through?

Are you going through the process of applying for a Retirement Visa at a Thai Embassy or Consulate outside of Thailand?" If that is the case, your processing is going to be very dependent on the case load and the facilities that that particular post has. So if you are dealing with a small post, you might process relatively slowly, or quickly in some cases, whereas if you are dealing with a high volume post, you might be dealing with that and that might be moving more slowly or in some cases more quickly. "More quickly?" you ask. Well when a group of people, in this case call it staff at an Embassy, are very well versed and it becomes routine for them to issue in this case Retirement Visas, it can be faster than you may be just have one case in front of one person who has never done it before; that can factor in to processing times at the Embassy phase.

Here in Thailand dealing with Thai Immigration, I don't know how much more expedited you want. I mean many of our clients, we get this processed out in a morning or an afternoon; it is not a big issue with respect to Retirement Visa extensions. So I don't really see how much faster it can get. We don't have any issues getting folks in and out dealing with Visa extensions in one day usually, less than a day usually, so I don't know how much faster you can get there. But from an Embassy or Consulate abroad yeah you are somewhat at the mercy of the processing parameters of the given post you are dealing with.
