Entry Rules for Unvaccinated Travelers to Thailand

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing the entry rules for unvaccinated travellers who are coming into Thailand. We have done other videos on this, but we are coming up to July 1st here, maybe this video will be published post July 1st, where we are seeing a rule change with respect to entry rules coming into Thailand; a substantial easing of the rules associated with coming into Thailand and I wanted to go ahead and do this video along with its sister video about vaccinated folks just to kind of put a fine point on it so people see clearly what they are looking at with respect to folks who are unvaccinated traveling into Thailand.

I thought of making this video after reading a recent article from Thai PBS World, that is thaipbsworld.com, the article is titled: Pilots and Airlines reminded to comply with Thailand's relaxed Covid-19 measures. Quoting directly: "The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) has issued a notice (NOTAM) to Pilots and Airlines, reminding them to comply with the latest, but relaxed, Covid-19 measures in Thailand, which will become effective on July 1. The relaxations include, and I urge those who are watching this, if you want to know everything that is on this list exhaustively, go check out the article directly. We are only talking about unvaccinated travelers specifically pertaining to their vaccination status within the context of this video. A big one though, "No Thailand Pass required for any overseas arrivals." That is from July 1, no Thailand Pass. Done, good by the way, good. Then quoting further: "Passengers who are not vaccinated or are only partially vaccinated will be required to show a negative professionally administered rapid antigen test or RT-PCR test result from a test taken within 72 hours prior to departure so they can enter Thailand on the same basis as those who are fully vaccinated."

So the thing to take away from this video, we have discussed this before but I wanted to reiterate it because we are looking at a rule change here. I know there are going to be a lot of folks who are going to want to make travel plans coming up or travel plans for the high season which I am hoping with the presumed rescission of the Emergency Decree, we will basically see all this go away by High season. For now, I mean honestly comparatively to the last couple of years the restrictions are way, way down. But the thing to take away yeah, those who are unvaccinated, you are still going to need to deal with an RT-PCR test to get into Thailand but once you are in, you will just be admitted and that will be that. So that is basically what to take away from this video. Things are probably going to start moving pretty quickly with respect to Immigration Policy here in Thailand so we will certainly keep you updated on this channel as the situation evolves.
