As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing Education Visas specifically in the context of attendance at University.

Now look, let's kind of be clear here. Education Visas have been used in the past in a kind of a disingenuous manner, let's say that. We saw many crackdowns and roundups especially when "Big Joke" was heading Thai Immigration and they tended to focus on so-called language schools and things that were acting basically as kind of a front to get people an Education Visa. That's not what we are talking about in this video. This is a video that is talking about Education Visas specifically in the context of University attendance here in Thailand and that is a very different thing. Quite honestly I have been thinking about it more and more. Every time I look at the news articles pertaining to attendance of college in the United States and keep saying to myself, knowing what I know now, I would be encouraging young folks back in the US to at least think about doing a year or more or their entire degree here in Thailand because quite honestly, many of the universities, especially many of the international programs are at par or better than universities back in the United States but the cost differential is staggering. I mean the cost of attending and obtaining a degree from a Thai University is staggeringly, like orders of magnitude lower than it is in the United States and one could conceivably undertake a college degree here in Thailand and obtain it without going into substantial amounts of debt which is a major difference with the American University system and for a myriad, a variety of different reasons that is the case, I'm not going to get into all that here and now. 

But long story short, I definitely think University attendance here in Thailand is something to be looked at, especially by Americans where University attendance can be staggeringly expensive and result in placing folks in an inordinate amount of debt and there also are Visa options available to maintain long-term status here in Thailand while attending University. To my mind that is a win-win because Thailand is such a great place to live and then on top of it, one can come here to get a degree at an affordable rate. I mean I don't really see where there is a downside to that scenario.
