Does Condo Ownership Impact Thai Visas?

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are asking the question, does Thai condo ownership impact Thai Visa issuance, extension whatever, visas generally? I thought of making this video after reading a recent comment on our channel, quoting directly, "Does buying several condos, new vehicles help anyway to stay?" Yeah, in the past there kind of was a discretionary O Visa that was being utilized specifically for those in the Kingdom who had purchased a Thai Condo. Then as we discussed, during COVID they were kind of playing with different notions of visas and visa status associated with condo ownership over a certain sort of minimum threshold.

Long story short as of the time of this video Thai Condo ownership in and of itself, and vehicle ownership setting aside that - that does not have anything to do with visas, no vehicles are not going to have any bearing on whether or not you can get a visa Thailand or get an extension etc. but yeah, in the past, condo ownership could be taken into account. As of the time of this video, it is not something that is regularly taken into account especially with regard to things like standard O Retirement Visas, standard O Marriage Visas, Thai Business Visas being in a category on their own because work authorization and tax documentation etc. are required in those Visa categories.

Long story short, as a practical matter no, condo ownership does not in and of itself impact to the positive or the negative, one's ability to both obtain a Thai visa here in Thailand or extend that status here in the Kingdom.
