As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing return tickets in the Consular processing of Thai Visa applications. What are we talking about here? Well those who are coming to Thailand as tourists, presumably those folks are going to leave. Now in the past, Thai Immigration both in the form of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as Immigration Authorities at the Immigration checkpoint here in Thailand, they took kind of a lax approach to this. Now they essentially want proof oftentimes depending on the Visa category, that that individual is actually going to leave. So, depending on the type of Visa you apply for, you may actually have to show return tickets. It is going to be very post-dependent; it is going to be rather fact dependent; it is going to be Visa category dependent. So for example Non-Immigrant visas like a Business Visa or an O Visa, a Retirement Visa probably this doesn't pertain to you but for example Thai Visa exemption stamp if you are looking to use the exemption and right now you need to still deal with a certificate of Entry but you are looking to come in on an exemption well yes you may have to deal with having to provide some sort of return ticket. That may mean you have to book something, refundable or not. Again this is all fact dependent.
