"A Database To Inform Foreigners Of Prohibited Activities" In Thailand?

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are posing the question regarding a database for foreigners to ascertain ‘what is a restricted activity here in Thailand?’ I thought of making this video after reading a recent article from Khao Sod English, that's khaosodenglish.com, the article is titled: PM discusses "Phuket model" with 12 consuls to prevent foreigners' law violations. Quoting directly: "Pol. Gen. Kittirat Panpetch, Deputy Police Chief and acting National Police Chief, said the National Police Office will set up a database to inform foreigners of prohibited activities in accordance with the law, liaise with all relevant units to control and suppress foreign Mafia infiltrating Phuket province, and enforce the law on foreign rental car operators to promote tourism in Phuket province."

As we have discussed in a number of other videos, Thai Law Enforcement is pretty darn active right now regarding their activities, especially in ascertaining who is here illegally, who is operating illegal businesses, who is working illegally and as a result of that, we are seeing heightened scrutiny associated with Visa applications, we are seeing heightened scrutiny associated with inspections by the Thai Immigration Police as well as other relevant law enforcement agencies. So the thing to understand and take away from this video, Thailand is becoming increasingly serious about this.

We have done videos recently where I talked about, there is now - I think it is every two weeks or every month - that there has to be a report made by Thai Immigration Police to the Thai Police regarding the activities they have undertaken, the cases they have ongoing of foreigners working or operating illegally here in the Kingdom. The thing to take away from this video and understand is they are serious about this. I think as time moves forward, we're going to see heightened activities on the part of law enforcement and Immigration law enforcement especially, and these databases and things are designed to put people on notice of activities that are illegal for foreigners to engage in.
