The question posed by this video is will Retirement Visa policy change in 2024? I know I make certain retirees kind of nervous or upset when I make some videos regarding Retirement Visas and the possibility that things could change. I am not making them in any kind of vein that I want things to change. For those who have watched my channel with any kind of sort of regularity, you probably know I am almost like the most arch-conservative person ever insofar as - "little c" conservative - I just want things to be the way they are. I like things the way they are now; I don't really want to change things very much. I am kind of hoping that Thai Immigration has the same paradigm going into 2024 with Retirement Visa Policy. 

As we have noted in many other videos, for example the O Retirement Visa presently does not require Insurance. Could that policy change? Well I guess it could; I don't think it's particularly likely. I think if that policy was going to change it probably would have changed already. Now I don't think you can maintain an attitude that it will remain ever fixed into the infinite future. No, things change; "the only constant is change" as they say. So it's possible that we could see some changes to Retirement Visas. I don't think it is overly likely especially right now where the present Government is attempting to kind of encourage foreign travellers to come to Thailand; encourage foreign investment to come to Thailand. I don't think it really operates within that paradigm very well to sort of make things harder on retirees. 

So my intuition tells me going into 2024, largely the Retirement Visa process will probably remain largely the same.
