As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing Business Visas and Thai Companies. This is something that most folks in my experience, when they first start looking to set up a Company in Thailand it either goes one of two ways. People's minds are not unitary on this topic when they are first looking at this, and when I say people, I mean foreigners looking to come to Thailand to do business.

They either are looking at solely the company side or solely at the Immigration side. They don't really understand how the two interact and in a way that is kind of my job to deal with that. The two very much run hand in hand insofar as Thai Business Visas, your Business Visa status sort of predicates your Work Permit status which predicates your ability to work in that Company. Meanwhile the Company acts as the sponsor for both the Work Permit and the Visa and for this reason they are sort of conjoined in many, many ways. It has been my experience that folks that are looking at this the first time don't really think of it that way. They just kind of see "Oh, I want to get a Business Visa to Thailand", or "Oh, I want to get a Company in Thailand", they don't really think of sort of both sides of the equation at first. As time goes on, every expat comes to understand this here in Thailand that this is very much an intertwined, inexplicably linked, or I should say inextricably linked sort of set up.

That being said and the thing to take away from this video, if you are looking to do business in Thailand, especially if you are looking to be self-employed, a company set up is oftentimes the best way to go and uses of a Business Visa is oftentimes the best way to do things. Always remember though there is also that third component, that Work Permit out there that you are going to have to deal with in order to be work authorized here in the Kingdom of Thailand.
