"Big Joke": Foreigners Who Attacked Thai Cop "Will Be Blacklisted"?

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing "Big Joke", that is Surachate "Big Joke" Hakparn who is still the Deputy National Police Chief or one of them I should say, and we are also discussing this sort of ongoing narrative regarding these two foreigners who seemed to take it upon themselves or thought it was a good idea to get into an altercation with a Thai Police Officer.

I thought of making this video after reading a recent article in the Bangkok Post, that is bangkokpost.com, the article is titled: 2 New Zealanders banned from Thailand after attacking Phuket cop. Quoting directly: "Two New Zealand tourists will be blacklisted by Thailand as police move decisively following a shocking attack on a traffic police officer in Phuket." Quoting further: "Deputy Police Chief Pol Gen Surachate Hakparn’, (that is "Big Joke") quoting further: “said on Monday the Immigration Police Chief in Phuket has been instructed to ban (I am going to redact the names here, because I just don't like doing that where I can avoid it) instructed to ban foreigner 1 and foreigner 2 after the completion of the court case against them. The two will not be allowed to come back to Thailand again, he said on his Facebook account."

So yeah this is kind of, look this was a high profile case. I don't know exactly what got into these folks heads that made them decide to go ahead and get into this altercation with this Police Officer. It looked to me like that the Senior Sergeant Major, the Police Sergeant Major specifically who was involved in this was basically just doing their job dealing with sort of a routine traffic matter and then it just sort of devolved into basically what amounted to a massive fight and now these two foreign nationals are facing criminal penalties.

Long story short, as we have discussed in other videos, there is a difference between Immigration consequences and criminal legal penalties here in Thailand. Immigration has different rules; it's governed under an entirely different set of law. There is not the criminal procedure or the Criminal Law Codes that pertain to Immigration, you are dealing with the Immigration Act of 1979 primarily when you are dealing with foreigners here in Thailand. Long story short, no matter what the outcome of the ongoing criminal proceeding might be, it would appear at least as of the time of this video, that these two foreigners will not be able to gain lawful access or maintain lawful access to the Kingdom of Thailand in the near future.
