Beware The "Hard Sell" Of Thai Elite Visas

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing Thailand Elite Visas. As we have discussed in a number of videos previously made to this one, Thailand Elite looks as though it is going to be undergoing a major series of changes most notably there has been serious discussion of changes to the programs, discontinuation of certain aspects of the program and there is speculation and I think it's well founded based on what we are hearing that there could be increases to the costs associated with the Thailand Elite Visa.

For those who are unaware, Thailand Elite is a program wherein you can get a visa for 5, 10, 15 years, 20 years even here in Thailand. It also provides a number of perks depending on the package you opt to engage in, you opt to join. For this reason, there are a number of folks that find Thailand Elite to be something of an alluring concept.

Now that said, Thailand Elite, I have noticed here in the past couple of weeks that there has been an effort to put the sort of "Hard Sell" on folks to go ahead and get into the Thailand Elite Visa Program. Look, I understand promotion, I totally get that, but if you are sort of being stampeded into this Visa without fully thinking about it that can be a bad situation. Now yes, as we have discussed in prior videos, there is the likelihood that the cost of these visas is going to rise so if you otherwise want this type of Visa, it is probably not a terrible idea to look at getting into the program sooner rather than later. That said, it is a major commitment in terms of money, it's also a major presumption in terms of the amount of time you ultimately want to spend in Thailand. So what I am saying here is look I have seen a lot of people come to Thailand over the years and really love it when they first get here and then within 3, 5, 7, 10 years they are looking to make a change for whatever reason. Maybe they still love Thailand but their life circumstances are such that they need to move etc. Again, everyone, what I'm trying to say in this video basically is don't get rushed into something that locks you into a status and locks you into a cost that you may regret later.
