As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing a surge in Tourism here in Thailand. I thought of making this video after reading a recent article from the Bangkok Post, that's bangkokpost.com, the article is titled: 6 million foreign visitors so far this year. A lot of information in that article. I urge those who are watching this video go read it for yourself. I am going to quote a small excerpt. Quoting directly: "More than 6 million internationals visited Thailand this year with a 90% surge last month alone when compared to average figures, according to officials." So that is rather interesting. 

You can definitely see it on the streets here. There are more foreigners here, the tourists are coming. It is not the ghost town, tumbleweeds going down the streets in Bangkok and Pattaya and Hua Hin the past two and a half years. There has definitely been a massive surge especially in the last month. Hopefully, the ending of the Emergency Decree and getting rid of all of these restrictions and what not, will spur tourism on even further. We are going into the traditional high season here in Thailand, the cool season where we see a lot of tourists especially from places where it gets extremely cold, like to come over here and spend a few weeks or even months here in the Kingdom of Thailand just as a getaway. 

So hopefully we will see this "surge" continue and we will hopefully see the benefits associated with that. Thailand I think, I am not going to say I can speak for Thailand but I think I have got my finger on the zeitgeist if you will, or I am on the same frequency as most Thais especially in the Tourism Industry, when I say we are here to welcome you, we are looking forward to seeing the tourists coming back.
