10 Year Visas And Work Permits In Thailand's Eastern Economic Corridor?

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video says just, we are discussing 10-year Visas and Work Authorization from Thailand's EEC, the Eastern Economic Corridor. For those who are unaware, Thailand's Eastern Economic Corridor encompasses Chonburi, Chachoengsao, and Rayong. It has been targeted for sort of Special Economic Zone kind of privileges that allow foreign investors to gain a great deal of benefit by doing business within that particular region.

I thought of making this video after reading a recent article from the Bangkok Post, bangkokpost.com, the article is titled: Thailand offers 10-year visas for investors in industrial east. Quoting directly: "Thailand will offer 10-year visas for investors and targeted businesses in the Industrial Eastern region to attract foreign investment, a Deputy Prime Minister said on Friday."

Yeah, as we have discussed, the Eastern Economic Corridor has its own business promotion apparatus which is different and separate from the Board of Investment, from BOI. These are two different bodies; they have their own independent authority to issue certain types of Visas, certain types of work authorization. For those who are looking to invest and do business here in Thailand, I think the EEC may be one of the, possibly most beneficial new programs that has been introduced here in Thailand and I think many foreign nationals looking to do business here, would be very wise to at least look at the EEC as a possible mechanism for not only gaining substantial Visa benefits, but also gaining possible sort of tax benefits coming from doing business down in the EEC, as well as other sort of concessions. So again, for those who are interested, it may not be a terrible idea to contact a legal professional, gain some insight and guidance into how best to proceed.
