Mandatory COVID-19 Testing for Travelers to the USA

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing COVID testing for travel to the USA.

In a recent health alert from the Department of State, Bureau of Consular Affairs dated January 15th, 2021. Location: Worldwide. I am quoting directly now: "The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director has signed an order requiring all airline passengers traveling to the United States, including US Citizens and Lawful Permanent Residents, to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 viral test or recovery from COVID-19. Event: Effective January 26th that's 2021. All airline passengers to the United States ages 2 years and older must provide either a negative COVID-19 viral test taken within three calendar days of travel or provide a positive test result and documentation from a licensed healthcare provider or public health official of having recovered from COVID-19 in the 90 days preceding travel. Passengers must also attest under penalty of law, to having received a negative qualifying test result or to recovery from COVID-19 and medical clearance to travel.

So this is major news. Clearly it is a broad-based directive and I am certain this is going to have substantial impact on visas to the United States, Visa holders to the United States. As noted in other videos we are starting to see Visa interviews and scheduling recommencing for a limited number of cases coming out of most notably the US Embassy here in Bangkok so we will keep you updated on this situation as it progresses.
