Foreign Buyers Mostly Interested in Large Thai Condos?

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are asking the question “are more foreign buyers interested in larger condos?” and I thought this was interesting after reading recent article on the Bangkok Post, that is bangkokpost.com, the article is titled: Strong demand seen for large condos. Quoting directly: "Demand for larger condominium units in the resale market is poised to remain strong this year as the prices of new projects in Bangkok are still high despite their smaller sizes, according to Property Consultant CBRE Thailand." Quoting further: "Praphinleeya Phuengkhuankhan, head of the residential sales ad hoc team at CBRE Thailand, said condo buyers were looking for larger sized units in good locations at reasonable prices". Well of course, as big as I can get it; located as well as I can get it; as reasonably priced or as cheap as I can get it; obviously that is going to be the buyer's mantra.

Yeah, I thought it was interesting because I have seen it said, sometimes in comments even on this channel that there is not a lot of options for larger space Thai Condos but something I have noticed is with the spread of the and kudos to the Government on this for getting and everybody involved, but the mass transit system here in Bangkok has expanded rapidly and it is now quite easy to get to places where in the past were somewhat oddly urban isolated, in that if you didn't live there or work there you just didn't go there. Now it may be possible to get there in a relatively straightforward manner via mass transit. I can definitely see circumstances where folks who are looking to buy a Thai Condo may buy one in a neighbourhood that previously folks, especially foreigners would never have thought of.

Now the thing that bear in mind is it is always a good idea to undertake due diligence when you deal with the condos. You have got to make sure everything is in compliance with the Thai Condominium Act so that you can get foreign freehold title to that piece of property. So it might not be a terrible idea for those who are interested in purchasing a condo here in Thailand, contact a legal professional, gain some insight and guidance into how best to proceed.
