Thai Police's "Big 3" Clear Man, Wrongfully Accused, Of Murder?

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing the "Big 3" within the Thai Police and how their intervention may have saved a wrongfully accused man actually. I thought of making this video after reading the Thai Examiner, that is thaiexaminer.com, the article is titled: "Big Joke" expresses disgust over the Sa Kaeo police case. A stunning discovery of foul injustice in play. Quoting directly: "Thailand's most famous Police Officer this week issued a cry from the heart.  General Surachate Hakparn or “Big Joke” expressed his exasperation and disgust in the wake of a police scandal in Sa Kaeo Province. This saw a 56-year-old husband of a murder victim charged for the act just hours after her brutal demise. Both were vulnerable people, the accused a chronic alcoholic while the victim was mentally impaired. Later, a Commanding Officer discovered clear CCTV evidence that the accused was not involved leading to a massive investigation. In short, Gen Surachate travelled to SA Kaeo himself to get to the bottom of the matter. Afterwards, it was learned the man was tortured into a false confession. Following that, it emerged that a gang of four youths responsible for the killing included the sons of local policemen."

Now as per usual, I urge those who are watching this video go check out Thai Examiner. As usual, they get in a really deep detail there but more to the thrust of this video, quoting further: "The victim was a mentally impaired 47-year-old woman. She was brutally battered to death and thrown into a nearby body of water. The murder occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, January 11th. The case saw the victim’s 56-year-old husband, an alcoholic and former convict, framed for her murder. His name was Mr Panya Kongsaenkham also known as Uncle Piak. His wife was Ms Buapan Tansu, also known as Auntie Buapan or Auntie Kob. Police Chief General Torsak Sukvimol, General Hakparn and Deputy Chief Police General Thana Chuwong, urgently flew to Sa Kaeo together last week. They were there to expedite the investigation into the violent murder of Ms Buapan. However, what unfolded was a confirmation of shocking police misconduct. Afterwards, there was an apology from Police General Torsak."

Yeah this is a pretty big case. I urge those who are watching this video again go check out the article on Thai Examiner's website. As per usual, they go into a great deal of detail, it is very interesting. But as you can see, look I mean the "Big 3" these are kind of the Big 3 if you will within the Thai Police so you are not only talking about “Big Joke” who we have talked about a great deal on this channel ever since he became ahead of Thai Immigration and thereafter, the ups and downs if you will of his career after that, General Torsak is the Head of the Thai Police, the National Police Chief. He went up there along with another Deputy National Police Chief and “Big Joke” to get into this and they weren't messing around. This was a serious investigation and it resulted in well quite honestly finding out that some, how do you put it, bad things were going on. It was not in line with how police investigations are supposed to play out apparently.

So the thing to take away from this video is the Thai Police are not messing around when it comes to law enforcement and in this case it looks like the intervention of these three may have resulted, at least it appears that it may have resulted, in a person who was wrongfully accused of murdering their own spouse by the way, I mean that is a heck of an accusation to be wrongfully accused of; I think the entire movie The Fugitive was based on the premise of somebody being wrongfully accused of murdering their spouse. I mean that is a big accusation and as you can see, even the top brass of the Thai Police got involved in this to rectify what could have been a massive miscarriage of justice.
