"Carbon Taxes" and Globalism Could Destroy Thailand?
Transcript of the above video:
As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing Carbon Taxes. Unfortunately tax has been way too much in the news the last two years ever since we had the memorandum change in 2023, and then we had all these charlatans pop up here in Thailand claiming to be able to provide tax advice, when as I have discussed in many other videos, as it pertains to Thai Tax Law, no one but a Thai national can provide those type of services, so important to keep that in mind.
Now that being said, what we are talking about here has broader implications than just basic sort of tax, okay? This is an attempt, I mean it's no less really than an international, I would call it supranational, it's this globalism, some euphemistically refer to this as globalism. You know in the old days they talked about New World Order, by the way we'll stick this up on screen. Here is a guy from the Government standing in front of a sign that says New World Order, okay. I'm sick and tired of everybody using these euphemistic terms that they use. By the way, that's a Leninist tactic. "We shall beat them through slogans; we shall win through slogans." That's Lenin; that's straight out of his playbook. And then New World Order. Anytime you bring up hey maybe there are some issues with this New World Order. I don't like this. I'm a citizen of this country. I like my country being a strong nation, what's the problem with that? Oh well it's conspiracy theory anyway that there is anybody talking about the New World Order. Meanwhile, guys stand in front of big signs that say New World Order on it, okay. So whatever you want to call it, supranationalism, globalism, whatever, and I'm an internationalist in the sense that I believe in nation states and that they should interact. I sort of like the internationalism of like the '20s. I don't like this where it's we are going to create this supranational commission’’; that's what the attempt is here in all of this. Be it the WHO, be it COVID policy, be it the OECD with regard to International Banking and tax, it's this move to create these international commissions. By the way, the Trans-Pacific Partnership which Trump completely destroyed his first day in office in the first term, which is another one much like the OECD Executive Order that rolled that back out of America's basically backyard and got it out of their hair, helped the country instantly on day one because TPP was going to create these supranational commissions to adjudicate things in an international or supranational manner rather than the sovereign nations who have the actual jurisdiction to adjudicate things like civil and criminal penalties, okay? TPP was going to do that; Trump killed that. OECD came in with an Executive Order; killed that too. As he said himself, it represented a threat to National sovereignty. It created extra-territorial jurisdiction in the USA, in any country where it's allowed, it operates as an erosion at the very least of that nation's sovereignty. I don't see how you can look at it any other way. And the point I am trying to make here is I am sick of the labeling of "oh, if you call somebody a globalist, we are not going to listen to you anymore." Why? It's self-evident at this point, and it's also clear that whoever these people are, call it the World Economic Forum, supranationalist, whatever, international interest, a lot of times they have really nobody's best interest at heart. It's not like, "oh they have like one group they are worried about." No, it's just them, and everybody else be damned, basically. That's the thing. This is a really anti-human agenda, it is very inhumane, okay?
That said, I thought of making this video after reading a recent article from the Bangkok post, bangkokpost.com, the article is titled: Carbon Taxes part of new Thai climate law. Well one, it is not a law yet. Okay? They promulgated, it sort of teed up to possibly becoming a law. I am really tired of the Press sort of fudging this whole thing of what is a promulgated law and what is in the process of maybe becoming a law. The Cabinet passed resolutions regarding Casinos; it didn't happen because the popular will didn't want it. And I really don't like this attempt to like gently finesse away and obfuscate what is actually happening in the legislative process. Quoting directly: "The Cabinet has set out plans for Carbon Taxes and an emissions trading system under Thailand's first formal climate change legislation." Why are we doing this? Who voted for this? Who voted for new taxes in Thailand in the last election? Climate or otherwise; Carbon or otherwise. The same deal with the Global Minimum Tax. That boondoggle that was touted by old Yellen which was part of the whole OECD package. Who voted for that? For a Global Minimum Tax, just tax for breathing? I remember criticizing Srettha when he was in Office over that one. Quoting further: "The Bill, approved in principle" - this is not approved, so, look, transcriptionist who transcribes our videos to put up on legal.co.th - if you're interested go to the Resources Section; all my videos are transcribed going back years if you are looking for an archive of information - that said, transcriptionist, please prioritize this video for both transcription and translation to Thai. Thais need to be aware of this, especially going into this election, that these Carbon Taxes are just attempting to be rolled out. And meanwhile, while we still, are they trying to just force this through while we have still got to nominally open Parliament. Is that what this is, much like the chicanery that went on with the promulgation of the Federal Reserve Act where they basically got it through the Senate through this weird quorum formality and like two guys were actually on the floor of the Senate at the time it was promulgated through there. Is that what we are seeing here? Is this a tactic to just kind of like ram this through the gates while we're not seeing it here in Thailand? Because I don't think any Thais are going to be real thrilled about any new taxes, carbon-based or otherwise. And by the way, as I'll get to here in a moment, the science is completely hokum on all of this; even Bill Gates has abandoned this. Quoting further: "The Bill, approved in principle by Ministers on Tuesday, was proposed by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. It would elevate a 2007 Ministerial Regulation into Thailand's first primary climate law." A couple of things there. That's the difference between a Regulation and a Law. A Regulation is just sort of a guideline. It has force and effect internally within the bureaucracy; it's not a promulgated law. People need to remember that, especially in the context of Cannabis over here in Thailand where there has been an attempt to obfuscate and conflate Laws and Regulations and the differences between them. Quoting further: "The Law is designed to support the country's commitments under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change." I think we should reconsider those commitments here in Thailand and reconsider even being part of that at all. If this is what it's bringing us - more taxes - apropos of what? Carbon? We're Carbon based life forms; we're the thing they are trying to tax. It's almost like a farce; it's almost like a joke. They're just putting it in our face. We're taxing you. Just more taxes on carbon, whatever that means. As we'll get to, and actually as I am using as the thumbnail for this video, one volcano just nullifies everything that we do with regard to carbon policy, with regard to emissions; it's nonsensical science on its face. That said, quoting further: "and its goals of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, and NetZero emissions by 2065 said Lalida Persvivatana, a Deputy Government Spokesperson." Again, zero emissions of carbon; the thing plants breathe, carbon dioxide. And based on what? And this is where, let's go over here, CNN.com, okay cnn.com. Headline: Bill Gates make stunning claim about climate change. Now this is the supposed Messiah of climate change, has just completely refuted, recanted and rebuked, if you want to call it maybe not rebuked but has just basically renounced it. Quoting further: "In a stunning and significant pushback to the "Doomsday" climate activist community, Bill Gates, a leading proponent for carbon emissions reductions, published a remarkable essay Tuesday that argued resources must be shifted away from the battle against climate change." Huh! Quoting further: "Instead, Gates argues, the world's philanthropists must increase their investment in other efforts aimed at preventing disease and hunger." Well this whose word we are taking for this. Is it not time to maybe seriously consider this isn't a good initiative.
Thailand should not undertake this and why should Thais be subject to more taxes just by dint of the fact that carbon exists. Quoting further, so this is where we got the thumbnail from. This is from X, Capt. Jack Harris, quote: "An estimated 400 trillion tons of CO2 from a dormant volcano eruption. And if you look at the chart and take notice of the little white dot, that is what the Greens, Labour and National are stealing your money over, all to give to the EU." So he's talking about Carbon Taxes where they already exist over in the EU, and you can tell people love them there.
But long story short and getting back to this, all of this Net Zero 2050, and frankly I said before, I would be making some videos critical of this government, well here it is. I'm not in favour of any of this anymore than I am in favour of OECD. And meanwhile, even the guy who has been championing this stuff has recanted. There is no science behind this. This was effectively, not unlike COVID, kind of a half con job based on scientism is probably the best way to put it. And frankly I find it to be a real danger to Thailand, both socially, politically as well as economically, because the last thing Thailand needs right now is another tax.
