As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing the Board of Investment here in Thailand and whether or not processing for Board of Investment or BOI certification will change in 2025. 

For those who are unaware, the Board of Investment here in Thailand is specifically authorized to provide specific and special concessions to certain types of businesses here in the Kingdom; types of businesses that they are looking to if you will encourage here in the Kingdom. What are we talking about? A lot of things having to do with big tech, so-called sustainability, although that's one question I have moving forward into 2025 is whether or not "green initiatives" and "sustainability" are going to be quite the flavour of the week that they are sitting here in 2024. That being said, will the overall substantive process of dealing with the Board of Investment change? Probably not. I don't really see any, I don't foresee any major possible changes on the horizon although that's exactly the moment when maybe something does change, kind of a Murphy's Law sort of thing. 

As I've discussed in other videos, when they do make major policy changes here in Thailand within the bureaucracy, they tend to do it at the turn of a New Year so if we were going to see major changes within the Board of Investment, we are likely to see it in the New Year or just as the New Year turns over. That said, if there are any major change that I see that could be coming in terms of Board of Investment here in Thailand, it's the increasing flow of inbound investment into Thailand. That is substantial to say the least and I think in 2025, we are probably going to see more substantial investment into Thailand. Hopefully that will happen because this Government doesn't make a bunch of silly moves that causes investment to run off. 

Leaving that aside, it looks to me like that may be the direction things are headed so I am optimistic for further Board of Investment applications being put forth here in the Kingdom of Thailand in 2025.
