When Is a Corporate Address Required for a Thai Business?

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing Corporations here in Thailand specifically companies doing business here in Thailand. A question came to me the other day from somebody I was talking to and this person asked me "Well how soon do I have to have a Corporate Address in Thailand?" My response was, “pretty much immediately". You need a Corporate Address in order to incorporate. They need to be able to communicate, correspond with a certain address so generally speaking you are going to need a Corporate Address from the outset.

Now some addresses that can be used to form a Company may not be overly useful for later documentation most notably Vat Certification, Tax Certification at that location which could be key critical for things like a Work Permit or a Business Visa. VAT is oftentimes a major component associated with the documentation that you need to process a Work Permit and a Business Visa. So the thing to take away from this video is yeah, we set up companies on corporate addresses all the time that we have use of but we may not be able to do VAT Certification on that corporate address depending on circumstances or a client may come to us with an address they want to use, it may be possible to incorporate but when it comes to things like Work Permit and Visa, that address may not be overly useful.

So again, it is going to be circumstantially dependent but yeah, long story short is you do need a Corporate Address from the moment you want to incorporate your Company here in the Kingdom of Thailand.
